A woman has been taken into custody in connection with a homicide incident in Sahuarita.
Tyesha Wayne, a 40-year-old resident of Sahuarita, has been apprehended on charges of second-degree murder related to a case of domestic violence.
On a Monday at 5:25 p.m., law enforcement officers were dispatched to a residence near the intersection of South Burro Canyon Place and East Ashburn Mountain Drive in response to a report of an undisclosed issue.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered Daniel Walker, a 26-year-old Sahuarita resident, with evident gunshot injuries. Tragically, paramedics pronounced him deceased.
Following thorough investigation, detectives found sufficient evidence to make an arrest. Tyesha Wayne was apprehended at her residence on Wednesday evening and subsequently placed into custody at the Pima County Jail.
