Kids Join ‘Camp Nitro’ To Grow Up & Be A Firefighter!

Do you want to learn what it’s like to be a firefighter? If you do, you might want to join Camp Nitro. Camp Nitro is a special program for girls who are interested in fire service. It is run by the Green Valley Fire District and the Northwest Fire District.

Camp Nitro started last year and it was a big success. Many girls enjoyed learning about fire safety, first aid, CPR, and how to use fire equipment. They also got to meet real firefighters and hear their stories.

This year, Camp Nitro is back for a second time. It will be held on October 9 and 10 at the Northwest Fire Training Center. The camp is open to girls who are in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade. It costs $25 to join, but scholarships are available for those who need them.

The camp is not only fun, but also educational. It teaches girls about teamwork, leadership, and confidence. It also shows them that they can do anything they set their minds to, even if it seems hard or scary.
